FMARS Sponsors	Commanders Report - July 23, 2005 Judd Reed Reporting Today was a day of exploration. We experimented with sending two EVA teams into the field simultaneously. One party walked to a high ridge. Upon return, the described it as a “Scientific Mecca”(see EVA report 10.9). Meanwhile another party travelled several kilometers by quad and then embarked on their own hike over very challenging terrain (see Eva report 10.8). In addition to being individually significant EVAs the combination was an experiment in simultaneously maximizing safety and exploration effectiveness. Food Usage: Andy’s bacon bits, 4.3g; potato powder packets, 2 x 113g; bisquick, 1kg; white rice, 907g; 1 variety pack poptarts, 12kg; 1 variety pack oatmeal, 334g; two onions.
